The definition of naughty can be disobedient, loud, rude, inappropriate. This is a word that we may be all too familimar with as parents of neurodivergent children, as people conciously or unconsiously label out children under the heading of 'naughty'. Maybe is is more older generations that are quick to write out children off and assume that we are 'bad' parents for creating such monsters! As much as people like to think they are more aware and like to think they are accepting and 'kind', people can be quick to judge.
This episodes explores the idea of naughty, as I share some of my experiences of my children being labelled as naughty and as we raise awareness of our childrens needs and look below the surfuce, underneath the behaviour - we find the answers as to why out children are disregulated and overwhelmed. We stand together and in this parenting journey, feel less alone together.
